About David Peterson
Sifu David Peterson has been training in Chinese martial arts since 1973 and became a student of Sifu Wong Shun Leung in Hong Kong in 1983. He is one of only two instructors in Australia personally endorsed by Wong Shun Leung, and he is a member of both the Wong Shun Leung Ving Tsun Martial Arts Association and the Ving Tsun Athletic Association in Hong Kong.
Peterson is known as “The Blueprint of WSL Ving Tsun” – a nickname he earned due to his in-depth knowledge and precise communication of Wong Shun Leung’s system. He generously shares this knowledge through books, essays, and articles on Ving Tsun.
He has also released several DVDs and produced a wide range of instructional videos, which can be viewed on his YouTube channel WSLVTMalaysia.
About Morten Ibsen
Morten Ibsen began training in Ving Tsun in 1985 under Sifu Eric Lilleør and later played a central role in the development of WT in Scandinavia. In 2005, he met Sifu David Peterson and has since studied Wong Shun Leung Ving Tsun under his guidance. In 2013, he became the first certified WSLVT instructor in Scandinavia.
Morten is the founder of the Danish Ving Tsun Federation (DVTF), which is now recognized for teaching realistic Ving Tsun at the highest possible level.
Harridslevgaard Castle – Denmark’s Oldest Viking Fortress
Harridslevgaard Castle is beautifully located near Bogense in North Funen and is surrounded by over 1,000 years of history. The castle is first mentioned in historical records in 1231, but archaeological finds and its location suggest that a chieftain’s estate or fortress existed here already in Viking times.
The castle has been home to both Viking king Palnatoke and Sweyn Forkbeard, and the current building is built in Renaissance style around the year 1600. With its thick walls, narrow windows, and privately owned knight’s hall, Harridslevgaard is not just a castle – it is a historic power center where the past still feels present.
Today, Harridslevgaard houses Denmark’s largest privately owned knight’s hall and offers a unique setting for events and gatherings – surrounded by mystery, ghosts, and ancient legends.
